Genesis and Forgetfulness
It’s difficult for me to picture the story of Genesis in my mind’s eye…
Dark water and the Spirit of God, and light shining out of the darkness at the power of his spoken word.
Whoa.
In a matter of days and sentences (be it literal or metaphorical, it makes no nevermind to me), the whole cosmos we know and love was called into existence;
light and darkness, sun and moon, land and sea, plants and animals.
